Jack Lancaster
I am a writer living in Brooklyn by way of rural Michigan. While working full-time and going to a full-time MFA program at Hunter College, I’ve been working on an essay collection on queer inheritance. I’ve been fortunate to work on many of these essays and other works with editors at Men’s Health, Electric Literature, Bellevue Literary Review, Brevity, Catapult (RIP to my unpublished essay and that great mag), Hobart, Prism International, Apartment Therapy, The Grammys / Recording Academy, and for my lovely friends at Testudo.
I like in no particular order:
Drag Race
Cooking through entire cookbooks
Tennis (when not injured) and other racquet sports
Trying to surf
Finding new restaurants and grocery stores
Sleeping more than 7 hours
Learning new languages when I’m not otherwise fully booked out
If you’re interest in working with me on my book or in having me write something for you, please reach out at jackjlanc@gmail.com. I love to meet and collaborate with new folks!
I briefly ran a podcast!
